70mm IMAX seat alerts

Set your
watch.

Shows sell out, then people change their plans and good seats come back. We watch the seat maps at all 34 IMAX 70mm theaters so you don't have to. Pick your film, your theaters and your party, and we email you the seats that open.

What we watch

Every show of your film at the 34 theaters in the US and Canada, presales months out included, for parties of one to six. Checked every few minutes. Free.

No tickets are held or bought for you. When the email lands, move like the spice depends on it.

Before you ask

Questions,
answered.

Answered only with what we can stand behind.

Which theaters do you cover?

Every IMAX 70mm theater in the US and Canada: all 34 with an IMAX 70mm film projector, 25 in the US and 9 in Canada, across AMC, Regal, Cinemark, Cineplex, Harkins and the independents.

How do IMAX 70mm seat alerts work?

Pick your film, your theaters and your party. We check every IMAX 70mm show and send you an email alert the moment good seats open up or a new showtime posts. Free.

Is this an IMAX tracker?

Yes: an IMAX seat tracker for IMAX 70mm film, the largest IMAX there is. It watches every showing at all 34 IMAX 70mm theaters in the US and Canada and emails you when good seats open up or new showtimes post. Free.

How often do you check?

Every few minutes, for every show of your film: new shows as they post, presales months out included, and seats that open up.

Do you tell me about new showtimes too?

Yes. When a theater adds a show of your film and it has the seats you asked for, that is an alert like any other.

What counts as a good seat?

You choose: middle and back and centred, anywhere but the front rows, or any seat. The front rows of an IMAX 70mm house never count as good.

Does an alert hold the seat for me?

No. Tickets are sold by the theaters, and nobody can hold a seat for you. An alert tells you the seats were open when we looked, with a link to book them yourself.

Why were the seats gone when I clicked?

Someone else booked them first. A seat that comes back on a sold-out show is often gone within minutes, which is why the alert goes out the moment we see it.

Is it free?

Yes. The email seat watch is free.

Do I need the app?

No. Your email and a six-digit code are all it takes. The code creates a Frontrow account, so your watch is already there if you install the app later.

Do you track my location?

No. We never ask for it and never store it. To put your nearest theaters first, the page uses the rough city your internet connection comes from, which every website sees; it stays in your browser, and you still pick the theaters yourself.

How do I stop the alerts?

Every alert email has a stop link for that watch. You can also pause, edit or delete any watch on your Your watches page. Your data is removed automatically 30 days after your last watch ends; write to hello@70mmtracker.com if you need it sooner.
