Why 70mm IMAX?

The largest picture film has ever carried, on the largest screens there are. Only 34 rooms in the US and Canada can run it.

Not just 70mm

An ordinary 70mm print runs down through the projector, five perforations a frame. IMAX runs the same width of film sideways, fifteen perforations a frame, so every picture is 3.1 times the size.
